The information structure used in this portfolio is derived from an information structure developed by the Inquiry Page between September 2000 and March 2001. The Inquiry Page is collaboratory of teachers’ lesson plans for units that emphasize inquiry-based learning. The main unit headings: explore, create, discuss and reflect are adopted from the Inquiry Page headings: ask, investigate, create, discuss and reflect. Three of the fourteen questions , “Readings,” “Story [of the Unit]” and “Responses” are taken directly from the Inquiry Page. Questions in the “Discuss” section are a unique to the portfolio project. Other questions were creating by merging or redefining some of the 27 categories used by the Inquiry Page.
